Son of a proclaimed Scottish architectural Marcus followed his father’s appreciation of build and design, moving to the UAE in 2006 to play his part in the development of iconic projects throughout the Middle East. Sourcing global talent to deliver projects such as Qatar’s’ Lusail development, Dubai International Airport, Aldar’s Al Raha Beach, Burj Khalifa and many more.
Responding to an increasing demand to provide ethics and best practice into the region’s recruitment industry, Marcus founded Taylor Sterling in 2013, quickly establishing itself as a key player in the construction industry as a leader in recruitment.
After being acknowledged for his ‘fair but critical’ stance on the construction industries conduct toward its workforce, he is an active advocate for Women in Construction, among other movements. Marcus has been a regular columnist in the leading publications, moderator and panelist and regularly on the judges panel for the industry’s top awards and summits.
Continuing his passion for people in the build environment, Marcus supports ambitious organisations operating in the region to refine their talent, attracting capabilities and developing their employer branding position and is hands on at leveraging his global network in C-Suite headhunting assignments.
