The C-Tech Club is a networking group for founders and CEOs of construction technology startups. It now has more than 210 members worldwide. Founders and companies were well-represented at this year’s Digital Construction Week (24th-25th November 2021), with Matrak, Q-Flow, Inndex, nPlan, Contilio, Converge, Skrap, Propergate and Renkap all taking stands in the exhibition hall.
The Club was also represented among the speakers in the form of a discussion panel, led by John Priestland, on the advantages of being ‘born digital’. John introduced the session by suggesting that, if you drive digital change into an ‘old world/’analogue’ contractor or consultant – then you produce a slightly faster caterpillar. The only way to become a construction butterfly is to be ‘born digital’, because then (and only then) do you not have to unlearn the old, analogue ways.
Construction technology start-ups are among the most ‘born digital’ companies around. So it was good to hear from: Brittany Harris (founder and CEO of Qualis Flow); Ineke Bulle (UK and Europe Director of Matrak) and Grzegorz Marecki (founder and CEO of Continuum Industries).
